FORGOTTEN FAMILIES
We have a list of families who require your help immediately:
1) A mother age 47 who is a widow and she is a victim of HIV AIDS . She is a mother of 2 children age 10 (Yabesera)and 8 (Mhielta) both of them are females. She was has no way of income due her health.
2. A mother age 26 who is a mother of two - five (Betania) girl and two years old (Dagem) boy respectively. She supports her children by daily labor like carrying Cement, Stone etc at construction site and washing clothes from home to home.
3. A mother, age 29 and a mother of six year old daughter. She supports her child by making “Injera” from home to home.
4. A widow, age 55 and is trying to support herself by making “ Injera” from home to home.
5. A woman, age 40. She supports her life by daily labor at construction site and washing clothes from home to home.
The families costs per month range from $220 CAD ( 3800 Ethiopian Birr) to $105 CAD (1818 Ethiopian Birr). Most of these families are trying to survive on 400 Ethiopian Birr per month or $17.00 Canadian.
Could you survive on $17.00 per month? What is that a pack and a half of cigarettes per week or maybe a 1/4 of a tank of gas? Makes you really think about the money we spend on needless stuff.

Forgotten Families
We don't want these families to be forgotten.
We want them to flourish even if it just means that they get to stay together in sickness and in health. So this being said, we have contacted a fellow who can help us connect with these families. With your monetary help and our contact, we can provide these families with injera machines, the teff flour to make the injera, the spices and other staples to sustain their daily nutritional needs. With your help and our contact, we can help them get back up on their feet and help them make a living. We want these families to be able to sustain themselves without relying on our generous donors indefinitely. With your help and our contact, we can send the children to a local school so that the next generation will be able to work towards a healthier and more adaptable Ethiopia. We want the families to become better educated and provide for their families.  #1 - Amelewerk - mother of two who is a victim of the AIDS epidemic. She cannot work because of her illness.  #4 - Aberashe - 55 year old widow who tries to survive by making injera from her home and selling it to others. |
 #6 - Ayalemene - mother of three with no income. She needs 3257 birr ($188 Canadian $) per month just to survive and feed her children.  #7 - Berhania - this young family survives on whatever work they can get as laborers.  #8 - Desta - looks after six orphaned children in her humble home. She tries desperately to feed & clothe them with the little she makes by selling injera that she makes.  #3 - Aleme - 29 year old mother of six year old daughter. She makes injera from home to home to support her & her daughter. |
